I transitioned away from scientific research to meet the substantial gap between scientific information and usability for those striving to improve the protection of natural resources and disadvantaged communities - both of whom are often most affected by environmental policy, yet least heard by policymakers.

Dr. Marcus Griswold

Governor Dakila Carlo “Dax” Cua is the newly elected Governor of Quirino province. Having served for 9 years as Congressman, 6 years as Vice Governor, and 3 years as Governor, he has broad experience in the executive and legislative branches of government. He graduated from the University of the Philippines earning a bachelor’s degree on Business Administration. Due to his exemplary contributions, he received various awards and achievements which includes Gawad KKK – Outstanding Youth of the Philippines Award; Most Outstanding Vice Governor of the Philippines, among others.
He was elected as National President of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) and National Chairman for League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP), and the umbrella organization of all the leagues of local government units and elected local officials in the country.

Hon. Dakila Cua

Dr Linda Anne Stevenson is Head of Knowledge Management and Scientific Affairs and Deputy Head of Development and Institutional Affairs at the APN Secretariat. With over 18 years of experience in APN, she manages over sixty national and regional projects annually across a broad range of disciplines and works closely with researchers and decision-makers in Asia and the Pacific. She has significant experience in scientific capacity building that includes developing capacity of early-career researchers; plans dialogues that cross the science-policy interface; and engages with international organisations including UNFCCC via SBSTA and the Nairobi Work Programme (NWP), IPCC and IPBES. Most recently she headed an activity that culminated in the publication of a Special Issue in Elsevier Environmental Research in 2020 of 14 APN projects. She has over eight years of lecturing experience in Japanese universities on “Global Environmental Systems” and holds a doctorate degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, UK.

 Dr. Linda Anne Stevenson

Dr. Bollettino is the Director of Resilient Communities Program at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. He also leads HHI’s engagement in the National NGO Program on Humanitarian Leadership. Prior to his current academic appointment, Dr. Bollettino served for five years as Executive Director of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Dr. Bollettino has twenty-five years of professional and academic experience in disaster preparedness and resilience, civil-military engagement in emergencies, and humanitarian leadership. He has spent that past eighteen years of his career at Harvard University in research, teaching, and administration. His current research focuses on civil military engagement during humanitarian emergencies, disaster preparedness and resilience, the professionalization of the humanitarian aid field and humanitarian leadership.

Dr. Vincenzo Bollettino

Dr. Ashutosh Mohanty, an International Researcher, professor, mentor and practioner and having 19 years of academic and professional experience in more than 15 countries different capacities on the fields of holistic Disaster Risk Management, Emergency Policy and Risk Goverance, Water Resources Management, human and institutional capacity development, Urban Environmental Management and Climate Resilience strategies in the Asia and Europe. Presently working as Professor Madhyanchal Professional University Faculty of Science and Technology, Centre of Excellence in Disaster Management & Environment. He also Co-Principal Investigator, National Geographic Explore grant USA (2020-21), He was assigned as Director of Disaster Management and Climate Change, Shoolini University, expertise to teach PhD and Masters Students and prior to this he was with Truman Graduate School-Public Affairs, Mongolia International University, joint Graduate School Programme with University of Missouri, USA. He did his PhD in Urban Environmental Risk Governance under mentorship and Research support from Dr. Michael H. Glantz, Director, Consortium for Capacity Building (CCB), INSTAAR, University of Colorado USA and MSc. in Urban Environmental Management at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand under USAID/RUDO Fellowship. He was also served as visiting faculty for International humanitarian and social work programme, Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic as well as Beijing Normal University, faculty of Geo Sciences.
